Foundation History: Humanitarian Aid for Venezuela

Our foundation, Ven Conmigo, was born from the hand of Bella Wingfield, a Venezuelan woman who has been living in the United States for two decades. The goal was to create an organization that would bring humanitarian aid to Venezuela from the U.S. due to the economic, social and political crisis in the country.

A little about the founder’s story

Bella Wingfield is a Venezuelan woman, an architect by profession, who has been living in North America for 18 years. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and, at the age of 24, graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.

In 2003, she emigrated to the United States and, since then, she got involved in any activity that the Venezuelan diaspora organized in the U.S. state of Virginia, with the purpose of helping people who suffer daily the humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is going through.

By 2018, Bella Wingfield’s idea arose to formally constitute the Ven Conmigo Foundation as an NGO to help and do more for vulnerable Venezuelans inside and outside the country.

And, this is how throughout these last three years, our foundation has been working towards having a better country, promoting charity events and collecting donations to send to Venezuela.

What is the humanitarian aid for Venezuela?

1- What motivates us

We know that Venezuela is suffering an unprecedented humanitarian crisis thanks to the lack of basic services and a series of terrible political events that represent a critical threat to the health, safety, and well-being of all citizens.

Venezuelan Crisis

For this reason, we are here to help through donation programs, with which we can provide immediate assistance along with a message of love, hope, and the promise of a better tomorrow.

2- What is our work?

We are a fundraising foundation, in charge of collecting material and monetary donations in the United States. We also send medical supplies, educational support materials and non-perishable food items to Venezuela.

Furthermore, we work together with the communities in Virginia, VA, that show their support to the cause, as well as with other foundations based in Venezuela. In addition, we give back to the Richmond community by delivering donations to the homeless, as well as providing them with lunches and winter clothing.

3- How can you help?

We know that no amount is too small to donate, and no donation is unwelcome. So by donating, you will be providing meals to malnourished children and the elderly.

In addition, we are open to provide volunteer opportunities for those who identify with our cause.

Therefore, we invite you to be part of our foundation, finding a way to help and leave a mark that makes a difference in the lives of the helpless.

So, Come With Me and let’s be factors of change to have a better world and help the most vulnerable people in our society.
